October 22nd Session
Managing our playing .. in the practice room , rehearsal or on the stage
How do we take ourselves and all we have been working daily practice into real life situations without falling apart?
Performing in front and with others like anything else is a skill acquired through practice and experience. A skill easily acquired with the right preparation … positivity, calm and focus.. are the mental attributes
But the real work is your daily preparation with your flute in your private practice sessions with clarity and focus…
Even if you are only playing for 15 minutes,, know what you are doing own it and enjoy it!
In these October sessions I shall take you once again through your practice routine playing scales, tone exercises challenging yourself and energizing your mind as you play.
Through the repertoire we will work on in these sessions I shall show you how to practice for performance .
This is skill I had to acquire myself. Little by little my nerves settled down & the musician i was to become came through in all situations.
Remember we are only the messengers for the composers and their music. What a wonderful gift we have been given!

October 29th Session
Pushing our Boundaries…...Challenging oneself with ease.
Challenging oneself is one of the most rewarding ways to prevent stagnation or frustration and deepen your connection to music.
With no external pressures of school or professional contracts, creating your own structured challenges will help keep your practice and performances meaningful and full of growth.
Sometimes we can feel stagnant, frustrated or confused on what to learn or maybe that word perfectionism is a bit too high on your list?
In this session this is what we will begin to explore together.
Come join us as we discuss and work on getting you moving forward in your playing. Creating your own structured challenges while stretching those musical boundaries, setting realistic and exciting goals is an exciting adventure and a wonderful way to bring your playing to another level.
