Lady Galway Adult Learner Series - 25 November 2025

Continuing our celebration of John Rutter and Interpretation of his “ Suite Antique”

Due to the excitement and length of working on this wonderful masterpiece we shall be continuing our work together this session.

We shall begin with Movement 5 - Chauson and continue to Movement 6 – Rondeau as well as review the other movements for those of you who might not have been able to join us live.

Lyrical lines with flexibility of embouchure, dynamics and smoothness of touch on our flutes are in order for this particular movement.

As always we shall bring in exercises to help you with preparing for this larger piece  - (Moyse Grande Liaisons Ex. 5), Moyse Sonorité and Galway tone exercises together.

Movt. 6 - The final movement of this Masterpiece incorporates good rhythm, single tonguing, the use of much flexibility with Arpeggios and even trills!  As in all our repertoire, our practice sessions prepare us for the ease in which we wish to play.

I urge you to take that 5 minutes to see what exercises you need to help you feel more at ease and confident in approaching and perfecting pieces of repertoire such as this Masterpiece.

So please join us as we enjoy another session our Adult learners.
