As we close out our Summer Sessions, let us Serenade each other with a live performance. 

We invite ALL of you to perform!

Wish to perform on 27 August? What you have to do:

• Choose a piece of no longer than 3 minutes to play for Sir James, Lady Galway and our class with or without your own accompaniment.
• As places are limited, those wishing to perform live must submit their choice of repertoire with timing by email to info@galwayfluteacademy.com by Friday, 21st August. 
• We will do our best to accommodate as many of you as possible to perform, but please note it will be on a strickly ‘first come first served basis’, so the sooner you book your place for this event, the better.

Tips for choosing your repertoire and performing:

It is always better when performing in public to play a piece you are very comfortable with and better yet if you have been coached on one of our previous sessions. No need to pressurise yourself!

Thursday, 13 August 2026 Coaching Session

We will begin with a short group Warm up session including: 

• Galway Daily Warm up routine (available to download)
• Scales - Taffanel & Gaubert EJ4 - F, G and A Major with various articulations as listed at the top of the page of this exercise.
• Repertoire – Open to all. A great chance for you to have a short coaching session, should you wish to perform on 27 August.

Thursday, 27 August 2026 Performance Session

Students who have been selected to perform (through early place resevervation and timely submission of their performance piece) will get the chance to play their piece for Sir James, Lady Galway and the class.  Those who booked first and confirmed to perform will be informed via email by Monday, 24 August.
